UCLA Anderson School of Management seeks an Executive Director of Development to serve as a strong partner to the Senior Associate Dean of External Affairs. This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced fundraiser who will execute high-level strategies to secure major/principal gifts with a focus on endowed chairs and program expansion; provide comprehensive oversight to major and annual giving teams; and work collaboratively to align donor passions with Anderson’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years of experience and progressive responsibility as a professional development officer or similar professional experience in a nonprofit, membership/volunteer driven or another related environment. (Required)
- Progressively responsible experience in the design, implementation and management of complex development or comparable programs including the ability to envision and articulate future direction. (Required)
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful cultivation and solicitation strategies and soliciting high-level major gifts from individuals. (Required)
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience and skills to supervise fundraising officers as well as support staff. (Required)
- Experience conceptualizing, planning and implementing special events. (Required)
- Prior experience in a capital campaign setting. (Preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of major gift fundraising in a major research university or comparable institution. (Required)
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful relationships with prospects, donors, volunteers, faculty, staff and students. (Required)
- Strong ability to recruit, orient, train, organize, motivate and evaluate volunteers and staff who support development functions. (Required)
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to exercise initiative, establish priorities, manage workload with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. (Required)
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce business correspondence, solicitation proposals, gift/fund agreements, and reports. (Required)
- Effective verbal communication skills to make persuasive oral presentations to senior management and conduct participatory meetings. (Required)
- Impeccable integrity and discretion in dealing with donors, alumni, students, administrators and colleagues as well as confidential information. (Required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of applications is required as is familiarity with other applications, programs and databases as needed with a willingness to learn new technologies. (Required)

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common.
Anticipated Hiring Pay Scale: $116,300 – $200,000 Annually
Full Salary Range: USD $116,300.00/Yr. – USD $264,600.00/Yr.
